However, we have a different suggestion for you, a flower that not only is one of a kind, but its beauty will leave you mesmerized as it’s incredibly unique!

The flower is called Skeleton Flower and as you see in the pictures, it is called like this because its petals turn transparent once in contact with water.

The flower is also known by its scientific name, Diphylleia grayi, and it’s generally quite rare as it can only be found in a few places of the world, such as the mountains of Japan, in China, and the Appalachian Mountains, where the ground is mostly moist.

The Skeleton flower was used to be referred to as the “chameleon of the woods”, as the moment rain started its petals would transform from opaque white to transparent.

This process that the flower would go through is due to the flower’s loose cell structure. It’s a quite unique sight as it appears to be nearly crystallized, like an ice sculpture of some kind!

If you are interested in growing Skeleton flowers in your garden you have to find a place where the soil will be consistently moist, rich in organic materials, and the flowers will grow, protected by strong wings. You see, these flowers usually grow under the canopy of shedding trees, usually during the summer.
