With spring imminently approaching, it’s almost time for the annual spring cleaning. Doing a deep cleanse of the kitchen is a great way to freshen up your home.

We’ve compiled a list of helpful tips that will make cleaning much easier.

Smelly Garbage Disposal?

Cleaning a garbage disposal is an important task. Many times, food rots inside and creates a nasty, unwanted stench around the area. It’s important to ensure that your disposal is well-maintained.

To clean it, place lemon slices into an ice cube tray. Then, pour vinegar over each slice. Freeze the tray until they are solid cubes. Finally, toss a few into the disposal and run it until they dissolve.

Your disposal will now smell like lemons!

Kool-Aid Is A Useful Cleaner

The dishwasher is a vital aspect to any clean kitchen. It’s an effective way to clean numerous things simultaneously.

Pour a lemon Kool-Aid packet into the detergent section of your empty dishwasher, and then run it for one cycle. Say bye, bye to stains inside your dishwasher!

Freshen Up The Coffee Maker

A coffee maker is always in use in my household. Coffee keeps us going every day, so having a dirty coffee maker is an absolute no-no.

In addition to cleaning the exterior, be sure to flush out the interior so that your coffee brewer continues to brew the perfect cup of coffee. Create a cleansing solution for the interior by mixing equal parts water with white vinegar. Then, run the solution through the machine. Afterwards, rinse the machine by running several cycles of fresh water through it.

Dish soap has a variety of uses, but I bet you didn’t realize cleaning kitchen cabinets was one of them.

Mix 2 tablespoons of dish soap with 2 cups of warm water. Swirl this solution around, and use it to clean your cabinets. Once done, use a sponge and warm water to dry the cabinets.

This will leave your kitchen cabinets with an extra sparkle!

Kitchen Grease

If you have greasy areas around the kitchen, then use mineral oil to clean it. It might sound weird to mix oil with oil, but trust us, it works.

Add a few drops of mineral oil to a paper towel, then wipe away the grease.

Stains On Baking Pans

If you have stains on your baking pan, then clean it with a mixture of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.

Put on your kitchen gloves and mix 1/4 cup of baking soda with hydrogen peroxide to make a paste. Run the mixture into the stains and let it sit for roughly an hour. Afterwards, scrub the pan with warm water and watch the stains come right off.
