Recycling and reusing is quickly becoming quintessential in everyone’s lives. We need to get in the habit of using everything to make something new, and there’s a new video out that converts an old sweater can become a comfy home for your furry friends!

You’ll need some yarn, large eye wool needle, 1-2 old pillows, an old sweater, and scissors to make this new dog bed.

The first step is to take the sweater and close the hole where the head would normally go through. This can be done using a blanket stitch!

After the hole is closed, go to about right under the arm and perform a stitch seam across the chest area.

Once that is stitched, take old pillow stuffing and stuff your sweater!

When the sweater is stuffed to a comfy level, you’ll need to stitch seam the bottom of the sweater.

From there, you want to take the sweater arms area and stitch them together to be a cushion around the mat!

Finally, stitch the bottom of the sweater to the sleeves!

The sweater is now the perfect dog bed!

In this day and age, it’s important to keep recycling and reusing different materials to give everything a longer shelf life. While we can’t stay wearing the same sweater forever, little things like this can make one man’s trash another one’s treasure!
