Designing and building your own cozy dream home is something that we’d all love to do. After all, our home is where we spend most of our time, but it takes a lot of money and craftsmanship to build your own unique and warm place you can call your dream house.
For some people, the exterior of the house doesn’t really matter, as long as the inside is absolutely perfect. A company called Morton Buildings specializes in exactly that. They use a post-frame construction technique and usually build homes that look like bland and boring warehouses.
When you step inside, however, the place is very much the definition of a dream home.
The interior is often incredible, with large open spaces, gorgeous furniture, and magnificent structural elements. If you saw the outside, you would never expect these homes to look so beautiful when you enter the door.
Owner Paul from Texas couldn’t be any happier with his dream ‘warehouse home’.
As you can see, the outside looks fairly industrial, and quite simply, boring. There’s plenty of room, but you’d suspect that this is a stocking room of some sorts, not a home.
However, that all changes when you take a peek inside. Behind the door is an incredibly cozy house with lots of wood and an impeccably stylish decor.
You can marvel at all the wooden elements, this beautiful staircase, and a fantastic bar. And as you can see, there’s plenty of room to walk around!
The sitting area has been decorated to Paul’s wishes, and there’s even a dumbwaiter to get heavy objects from one floor to the other.
Just look at the amount of room you have! The width of this ‘warehouse construction’ really speaks volumes.
As you’ve probably already noticed, Paul has opted for a hunting theme, which is also clearly resembled in the beautiful chandeliers.
And if you think that the other rooms of the house would be compromised in any way, think again. The master bedroom is beautiful and stylish.
What do you do with all that extra room? Install a huge entertainment area of course, with large sofas and a beamer. Perfect for late-night movie sessions.
With no less than 110 feet in width, this place is absolutely perfect to play hide and seek.
Ann’s home in Illinois is a little bit less luxurious, but incredibly impressive nonetheless.
From the outside, the place doesn’t look all that fabulous or different from other homes.
Who doesn’t want to have a huge garage with double bays?
Having breakfast in the porch area with tons of natural light is a joy.
As you can see, Ann and her family have chosen for a relatively low-key decor and furniture, but it’s incredibly cozy nonetheless.
The amount of free space in these ‘warehouse homes’ is once again evident when you take a look at this spacious kitchen.
Of course, there’s a large kitchen island as well.
Plenty of room for lunch and dinner.
The living room area just screams warmth and coziness.
Built-in wall closets save up even more space in the office.
The home also features a dedicated washing area.
With its cream white and wooden look, the master bedroom looks splendid.
And well, the extra space in the double garage can be used for gardening tools, motorcycles, and some fitness equipment.
As you can see, the saying that you can’t judge a book by its cover applies to homes too. Bland on the outside, beautiful masterpieces on the inside. Living in a ‘warehouse’ structure suddenly doesn’t seem like a bad idea now!
