Making sure your toilet bowl is clean and stays clean is important because dirty toilet bowls are outright disgusting.
Everything you need to do this is already in your home. From vinegar to cola and bubble wrap, there are lots of things you can use to keep your toilet in tip-top condition.
Nail Polish
Coat the bolts and screws on your toilet and its hardware wil clear nail polish to prevent them from loosening and getting rusted.
Alka Seltzer
Pop two Alka Selzter tabs into your toilet and let them dissolve completely. Use your scrubbing brush to scrub.
Coca-Cola
Cola can dissolve rust rings. Pour a full can of it around the rim and let it fully coat your bowl. Let it soak for an hour before you scrubs. This will allow the acid to do most of the work.
Plastic Soda Bottles
You can reduce the amount of water your toilet uses in newer model toilets by filling an empty 1-liter plastic bottle with an inch or two of sand. Top it off with water and screw the lid back on. Put the bottle inside your tank away from any of its moving parts to lessen the amount of water used per flush.
Gatorade

Pumice
Soak your stone in warm water and make sure the ring around your toilet is wet. You can scrub the ring around your toilet with it.
Baby Oil
You can clean chrome fixtures on your toilet with some baby oil. This will also work to shine your faucet, showerhead, and our bowl.
Vinegar
Soak wads of toilet paper with vinegar and place them on top of your stains. Let this sit overnight then flush to rinse.
Fizzy Toilet Bombs

Boiling Water
Pour a medium-sized saucepan of boiling water into your toilet bowl to help dislodge a clog.
Hydrogen Peroxide
You can disinfect your toilet by mixing together 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide into the bowl and let it sit for 30 minutes before you flush to rinse it away.
Bubble Wrap
If you want to stop your toilet tank from sweating, you should shut off the water valve and remove the tank lid. Flush and empty the water from the tank. When the tank is empty line the inside of the tank with a layer of bubble wrap and let it fill again.
Grapefruit
Half a grapefruit and dip it in salt and use it to scrub your toilet clean.
Toothpaste
Toothpaste also works well to clean your toilet. Pour some in your bowl and use it with a toilet brush to scrub away gunk and grime.
Dish Soap
Pour a 1/4 cup of dish soap into your toilet bowl and let it settle then pour some hot water down your bowl. This should help dislodge a clog.
