If you think this is a familiar plot from a horror movie, then you are wrong.

While cleaning and moving some furniture, Jennifer Little from Central Coast, California, found a manhole under the carpet in her room.

The manhole was under a big piece of wooden cabinet, underneath a thick carpet. Jennifer immediately told her husband about what she saw, and her husband wasted no time.

Jennifer’s husband began investigating the manhole and found out that it was actually a bomb shelter from the 1950s!

As they opened the manhole, they realized how long this shelter had been abandoned. Even the entrance of the bomb shelter was full of cobwebs, dust, and even trash. As if they were in a movie, they slowly went inside to explore.

It was such an exciting moment for the couple that she decided to share her discovery with TikTok.

In one of her TikTok clips, Jennifer explains that these types of bomb shelters were actually normal for homes that were built in the 1950s.

Those who had the budget made sure that they have their own bomb shelter in case of any emergency.

People were worried about the cold war and nuclear bombs being dropped in the Central California area.

After entering the bomb shelter, they discovered that it contained two bunk beds, urinals, trash, posture rest, metal cans, glass jars, lots and lots of dust, and some huge spiders.

Inside are two bunk beds, a urinal, a cabinet, and hooks.

As they were checking, they saw that there was rainwater dripping on the walls. You can even see daylight from the steel door that is filled with rust.

This didn’t surprise the explorers because it has been 50 years, and it was clear what time has done to this bomb shelter.

We can also hear Jennifer comment on the shelter’s ‘storage room’ because, according to her, it was weird that it was built outside the bomb shelter.

You have to go out and leave the shelter to get to the storage room, which beats the purpose of staying ‘safe’ inside the shelter.

Her series of TikTok videos about the bomb shelter garnered more than 1.5M views.

People all over the world found this bomb shelter to be ‘cool’ and intriguing.

Some comments talked about how cool it would be to have your own bomb shelter and the possibility would be endless!

There were comments about it would be nice to remodel it, just in case there would be a zombie apocalypse.

Some TikTok comments also suggested that they should remodel it and transform it into a man cave.

Some say it would be perfect if it was an extra room, or make it into a hiding place if you want to escape from your kids for a while.

Our favorite idea? Well, turn it into a pub!

We could all use a mini pub underground, right? Of course, that would also be super cool!
