Even though wearing glasses can be fashionable, for many people, they are simply a necessity. To be honest — it can be pretty annoying to wear them at times. Whether they are fogging up, sliding down your nose, or not fitting quite right — glasses can be troublesome.
Luckily — fixing those annoying problems with your glasses is super easy.
These 7 hacks are going to be a game-changer for all of those “four-eyes” out there.
You’re going to wish you knew about these a long time ago!
1. Stop glasses from fogging
Prevent your glasses from fogging up with one simple trick. Rub a bar of soap on the lenses of your glasses, wipe it off with a small cloth. Just like magic — the glasses won’t fog anymore!
2. Prevent glasses from sliding down your nose
Buy some eyeshadow primer from your local drugstore (yes, you too, boys!) and dab a little on the bridge of your nose where your glasses sit. Slipping is a problem of the past.
3. Find shampoo in the shower with a rubber band
Taking your glasses off for a shower can leave you blind and squinting to read labels. Make life easier by placing a rubber band around your shampoo bottle so you can easily identify which bottle is which.
4. Easily see your eyeglass case in the dark
Instead of fumbling and clumsily searching for your eyeglass case in the dark, purchase some glow-in-the-dark tape from a hardware or craft store and place a strip on the front and back of the case. Now, you’ll have no problem locating your glasses.
5. Create your own DIY lens cleaner
Take a small spray bottle and mix 2 parts rubbing alcohol with 1 part water and 3 drops of dish soap; give it a good shake, and you’re ready to go! Make sure to use a soft cloth, like microfiber, to wipe your lens.
6. Remove scratches with toothpaste
Use a non-abrasive toothpaste to remove tiny scratches from your eyeglasses. Squeeze some toothpaste on the lenses and buff in a circular motion with a soft cloth. Rinse off the toothpaste, and they’ll be as good as new.
7. Use a table to straighten crooked glasses
Place your glasses on a flat table to gauge the straightness and symmetry of the sides. Adjust until the glasses sit flat, with both sides resting on the table.
These eyeglasses hacks are a godsend for anyone who wears glasses.
