We all know there are plenty uses for vinegar around the home, but there are also many beauty uses for vinegar.
Here’s how you can use vinegar for your skin, hair, and nails.
Facial Toner
Mix two cups of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and use a cotton ball to apply it to your clean dry face. This will act as a toner that tightens your skin. The alpha-hydroxy acids and acetic acids will promote circulation and shrink your pores.
Acne
Use some vinegar to dry out your pimples. The acidity will shrink your zits and will regulate the pH levels in your skin and promote blood circulation that helps to eliminate skin irritation, scaliness, and peeling.
Razor Bump Relief
Wipe some apple cider vinegar over your razor bumped area with a cotton ball to reduce inflammation and irritation. It will also help to soften your skin which will prevent ingrown hairs. If you have really bad razor burn, try applying a light layer of honey to the area, then rinse and dry it before you swab it with vinegar.
Bug Bites
Relieve a bug bite by soaking a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and dab your bite with it. The pH regulation will get rid of the itch, it’s antimicrobial properties will prevent it from getting infected, and the anti-inflammatory properties will reduce the swelling.
Dandruff Eliminator
Massage your scalp with equal parts apple cider vinegar and water before you shampoo. The vinegar’s anti-fungal properties will get rid of dandruff, while the balancing of pH levels will create a protective acid lever on your head to prevent additional fungal growth.
Extend Your Manicure
Soak your fingers in some vinegar for a few minutes before painting them. This will get rid of any oils on your nails and will extend the life of your manicure.
Bruise/Scar Healer
Since vinegar promotes circulation, it can help heal a bruise or scar quickly. Wet a cotton ball with apple cider vinegar and place it over your bruise or scar and secure with a bandage. Let it sit for an hour before removing the bandage.
Clean Makeup Brushes
Spritz your makeup brushes with equal parts of water and vinegar. You can also use this on your eyelash curlers and other beauty tools. Vinegar’s anti-microbial properties will disinfect your beauty tools and keep your skin fresh and clean.
Cold Sores
Get rid of a cold sore quick by rubbing some vinegar on it. The vinegar will reduce inflammation, dry up and disinfect the sore.
Eliminate Foot Odor
Pour four cups of water in a basin along with one cup of apple cider vinegar. Soak your feet in this solution for about 15 minutes. The vinegar has anti-fungal and antiseptic properties that will get rid of odor and combat fungus.
Fresh Breath
Mix a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and gargle with it to instantly get rid of stinky breath, especially if you’ve eaten garlic.

Pour some garlic through your hair to promote hair growth. The vinegar with regulating the pH of your scalp and promote blood circulation which helps hair growth.

The acidic properties of apple cider vinegar will counteract the stripping of oils in your hair caused by some shampoos. This will help to soften and smooth your hair as well as promote shine.

Vinegar’s anti-inflammatory properties will help to soothe sunburn. You can add 8-ounces of apple cider vinegar to a bathtub with warm water and soak in it for 15 minutes.

Add a few drops of vinegar to your hand cream and body lotion to brighten up your skin all over.
