Do you think you can store so much using a bigger cupboard?
Think about it, you have a cupboard that’s 2×2 feet and also 2 feet deep. Do you think that’s spacious and efficient enough?
The easy answer is yes but in reality, you’re only using about a third of that space, specifically the base area. All you have on the remaining two-thirds is an empty space.
Here are some storage hacks that can triple your storage space!
The best part about these hacks? Tool use is minimal to none at all and most of the parts can easily be bought from your local superstores.
For this project, you’ll need “command hooks” or adhesive hooks, tension rods, and other materials you can use creatively to make more storage space.
Let’s go back to the imaginary cupboard.
You can fit a tension rod inside the cupboard and convert it into a hanging rod. You can now hang mittens, towels, and potholders.
You can also use these tension rods in your closet as extra hanging spaces. Along with s-hooks, you can use these to hang lighter shoes, sandals, or slippers. You can also hang caps, beanies, and other accessories.
For lower cabinet spaces, you can place two tension rods parallel to each other. Place the front one slightly lower than the rod behind. Make sure that the rod behind can help shoe soles lodge themselves in. The slight angle downward can help you view a specific shoe which will make your dress-ups easier.
Speaking of hooks, adhesive hooks are perfect storage additions.
Peel off the adhesive then stick it on the inside of your cupboard door all the way to the hinge. Get your paper towel roll, and hold it up against the hook so you can measure where the other hook should be placed.
You can use a stick or a metal rod to hang your paper towel roll. If you don’t have a rod, you can use a thin rope or a thick string.
You can use adhesive hooks and rods on the counter as well.
Stick the hooks against the kitchen wall, maybe under your cupboards, then secure the rod in place. Using s-hooks, you can hang cups, mittens, small baskets for onions and garlic, or small pans and utility tools.
You can also hang rolls of foil, baking paper, or saran wrap for easier access. Empty spaces can now be turned into storage spots.
You can also use other tools to creatively organize your things.
You can use turntables for bottles and other things you switch between. This way, you don’t have to remove the front bottles just to access things that lay deeper in the cupboards.

Shoe rack? You can fit one in your sink cupboard. You can now use the “second level” for bottles or utility things that can’t get wet. The “ground level”, meanwhile, can be used for heavier and bulkier cleaning items.

Square baskets, peg boards, and wire racks are just some of the things you can place and position inside pantries, cabinets, and cupboards. Storage shouldn’t be so hard. With the right tools and creativity, you can turn a dead space into a storage area.
